Michael A. Douglas is the founder and president of Diversity Initiatives, Inc. and the Chief Diversity Officer of Walsh University. With more than a quarter century of experience in Title VI and Title IX compliance, his clients include premier institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, TRW, and nearly seven hundred school districts throughout the Midwest.
Mr. Douglas is a highly-sought after executive coach for conflict mediation and resolution. He attributes his success in the field of Diversity and Inclusion to his unique approach to working with people, incorporating live theatre troupe, and his publication The Ten Hidden Rules of Success.
Michael is active in his community, serving stints as a board member for the Geauga County Public Library and the West Geauga Local Schools. His distinctive awards include the 1993 recipient of the Ohio Education Association’s Holloways/Human Rights Award, and he is the 2019 winner of the Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Building Award for his commitment to Dr. King’s Six Principles of Non-Violence. He is a proud Walsh University Alum.
